Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card

The Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card provides travelers with generous rewards and traveler protections.

The Chase Freedom Unlimited® is packed with cash back opportunities for travelers that book through Chase Unlimited Rewards®, including an attractive intro offer that lasts the entire first year. It’s a cash back card, but Chase Ultimate Rewards® travel purchases help cardholders get even more bang for their buck.

We think this card is well rounded, and offers a tremendous amount of flexibility for many cardholders. It’s especially attractive if $0 annual fee is important to you.

  • Bonus Points
The current intro offer lets new cardholders earn an extra 1.5% cash back on all purchases (up to $20k spent in the first year). These rewards add up. Ordinary purchases, for example, will earn 3% instead of the typical 1.5% cash back.
  • Keep Earning
This cash back card rewards travelers with a regular 5% (6.5% intro) cash back on travel purchased via Chase Ultimate Rewards®, 3% (4.5% intro) on dining, 3% (4.5% intro) on drugstore purchases, and 1.5% (3% intro) on all other purchases. The bonus 1.5% intro offer covers up to $20,000 spent in the first year. After exceeding $20,000, cash back rewards are unlimited.
  • Benefits & Protections
The Chase Freedom Unlimited® credit card comes with protections and extra benefits as well. Enjoy trip cancellation/interruption insurance, auto rental collision damage (secondary to personal insurance), free credit score and identity restoration services, and fraud monitoring.
  • Fee and Rewards Breakdown
This card is a zero annual fee card with large cash back incentives for travelers and unlimited rewards for everyday purchases. The rewards are straight forward with cash back equalling the percentage of what you spent to earn that reward (ie. $100 spent on an oil change equals $1.50 cash back).
